Hi there — I’m Jaime, and I built PlayHereHouston because I kept seeing amazing playgrounds on my feed... and then forgetting where they were.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve posted or saved playground content—but when someone asks, “Where was that place with the splash pad?” it’s already buried in your saved Stories.

PlayHereHouston is here to solve that. It’s a free, searchable map of Houston’s best playgrounds—built to make your content easier to find, easier to share, and way more useful.

What You Get as a Founding Pal

As one of our first users, you’ll receive:

  • Early access to the full playground map
  • Your profile featured within the app as a "PlayHerePal"
  • The ability to compile lists of your favorite playgrounds directly inside the platform and share those lists with all your followers
  • A public thank-you on our Instagram (with a link to your page or blog)
  • Influence on what features we build next

This isn’t a content account. It’s a utility for creators like you—a way to extend the life of the playground content you’re already sharing.

What’s Inside the Map

You can explore playgrounds using real-world filters like:

  • Shade
  • Bathrooms
  • Splash pad
  • Unique features (treehouses, zip lines, toddler swings)

You can save your favorites, track where you’ve been, and build curated lists to share with your audience.

Why This Is Useful

Instagram stories disappear. Posts get buried. But your playground picks on PlayHereHouston will always be:

What to Do Now

Here’s how to get started:

Step 1: Sign in to the Playground Map
Click the link below to open the PlayHereHouston map. Use your email to sign in.
Launch the Map

Step 2: Join as a Pal
Tap “Be a Pal” (in the left side menu) to create your profile.
When prompted, enter your invite code: PHPVIP
This lets us recognize you as one of our Founding Pals.

Step 3: Create Your Lists
Start building custom playground lists to share with your followers.
Make as many lists as you like! Here are some we would love to see:

  • Best playgrounds for littles under 3
  • Best shaded playgrounds
  • North Houston Tunnel Slides

It’s totally up to you—and it’s made to reflect the way you already think about your city.

Make It Feel Like an App

PlayHereHouston is best when you use it like an app! Here’s how to add it to your home screen so you can open it with a single tap.

If you’re on iPhone (Safari):

  1. Open the map in Safari: Launch the Map
  2. Tap the Share icon at the bottom of your screen (a square with an arrow).
  3. Scroll down and tap “Add to Home Screen.”
  4. Tap Add in the top right corner. Done!

If you’re on Android (Chrome):

  1. Open the map in Chrome: Launch the Map
  2. Tap the three dots menu in the top right corner.
  3. Select “Add to Home screen.”
  4. Tap Add and it’ll appear on your phone just like an app.

Now it’s always just one tap away.

Explore and Make It Yours

Once you're signed in, take a moment to explore everything PlayHereHouston has to offer. This isn't just a map—it's a community tool that gets better the more you use it.

Here’s what you can do:

  • Add comments or insights to any playground listing. Share tips, updates, or helpful notes for other families.
  • Customize your profile under the “Be a Pal” section. Your profile will appear on our PlayHerePals page, where users can discover who’s sharing great playground finds.
  • Read our Playground Reviews—we aim to keep them fun, honest, and actually helpful. They highlight everything from vibe and layout to hidden perks (and occasional chaos).

Whether you’re here to organize your faves or help families find the best slide in the city, every click helps build something better for everyone.
